Like Grange Hill, this post office at Green Island served a small community and did little
business.
This cover was written and probably posted on May 12th 1859 arriving in Kingston on the 14th.
The numeral canceller can be seen faintly reading from WNW to ESE on the stamps and yet the
cover was agajn cancelled in J(jngston with the AOJ reading from NNE to SSW. The letter,
despite being written in Grange Hill, was posted at Green Island which is 20 miles away.
