These 2 letters arc from a Mr. G.W.Geddcs to two separate lawyers. The first reads 'Dear Sir, I
am desired by Mr. W. Tilley to enclose the balance of his pasturage account against me which you
have on a cheque for £3. 12.0. Yours truly'; and the second is a much longer letter to a different
lawyer begging him to make a third party's lawyer complete a transaction instead of being so
dilatory, as he (the writer) feels that the delay will reflect badly on him. Twas ever thus!
