Gift Pared: Import Licences arc required for a few classes of goods, but not
for gifts addressed to individuals provided.
a) the gift is bona fide and unsolicited and
(b) the gross weight or retail value docs not exceed 22 lb or S50 and
(c) only one parcel is received by an individual from the same donor in any
one calendar month.
Import Licences: See under letter post
Invoice: An invoice showing details of the cost of the goods including insurance,
country of origin etc. must he attached to the outside of each commercial parcel
in an envelope prominently marked “Invoice".
Po king: Parcels must be strongly packed, if possible with a covering water
proof material.
Compensation is not payable for damage to ordinary parcels lost, st. len or
damaged.
Delivery: Parcels arc not delivered.
Address: A parcel for delivery through a bank should bear the addresss of the
tank only. The name of the ultimate consignee but not his address should be
entered in brackets, under the name and address of the bank.

Dutiable articles may be sent b. letter and small packet post—up to SI00
green label written in French and English required; thereafter top green label
and form C2/CP3.
Items subject to customs duty arc not accepted in ordinary letters.
Insurance: No Service.
Prohibitions: Charged butane gas lighters and refills (uncharged lighters are
admitted).
Restrictions: Arms, books and printed matter in Arabic, spirits.

Customs declarations: 2 forms C2/CP3 and 1 despatch note CP2 written in
French and English.
Insurance: No Service.
Prohibitions: Letters; charged butane gas lighters and refills (uncharged
lighters are admitted and should be declared as such on the customs declaration
f°rm C2/CP3): counters resembling coin; diamonds (rough or uncut), weights
and mcas :res not of the decimal system; and in addition, all goods bearing indica
tions which suggest they are of French origin or manufacture when they are not;
