George V 2d + 1d die on size F envelope: two different blue printing types.
De La Rue prepared a stock of blank envelopes by printing the blue ink inscription. Then, to meet
each requisition, they applied a die to some of these blue printed envelopes drawn from stock. There
are different permutations of blue printing and die.
Swarbrick recorded five types of the blue printing on size F envelopes. Two of these main types are
found with the GV die. The simplest identifier is the wording of the printer’s imprint.
