Jamaica Registration: Postal Stationery Registered Envelopes.
Formular envelopes, issued 1 January 1881.
The Post Office introduced these envelopes because of the UPU requirement to pay compensation
for losses from registered post. To be as restrictive as possible, they included a requirement that any
money posted must be in one of these envelopes to qualify for compensation. Post offices sold the
size G envelopes for ½d each or 5d per dozen. The printer was McCorquodale.
