Jamaica Registration: The 1919-20 Kingston Experimental Marks.
Mixed marks: 1919 to 1920.
The inking difficulties may have helped end the experiment. The crossed lines applied by roller (Lant
type RC14a) were the least used and the first abandoned, in June 1920. The other marks stopped by
October 1920, apart from occasional late use as receivers.
Cover from Montego Bay to Great Britain, 1920. The front of the cover bears the usual crossed
crayon lines and the R in oval (Lant type RS1) of Montego Bay. The experimental datestamp (Lant
type RC14) alone has been added as a transit mark at Kingston.
