      FRANCE, could.
       Prohibitions:  Letters:  arms  (except  sporting  guns  admitted  under  pcrmitl

      tions in  France and  before a  parcel  is sent the sender should ascertain from the
      addressee that hc/shc has complied with the necessary formalities.
       Gift Parcels should not exceed 300 Francs  (or  approximately S43.40) in value.
      Customs charges  of 30 per cent  arc  normally  raised  on  all  goods  but  tobacco,
      alcohol and books arc subject to special charges. The  words" Envoi Isol  Gratuif
      must lie written prominently on the cover of an unsolicited gift parcel.
       Delivery:  Parcels  arc  delivered  in  most  areas  Where  they  arc  not  delivered
     an advice of arrival is sent to the addressee.  Certain charges must be paid by the
     addressee.
       In  France,  Andorra  and  Monaco,  the  parcel  post  service  is  operated  by the
     railway  authorities and  parcels  which  are  intended  to  be  called  for should be
     addressed "En Garc and not Poste Rcstante".

     dication “Livrabte  en Gave de  la  Tour de Caror  (Pyrenees  Orientates, France)
     added to the address.
       If the Postcode is known it should be written to the left hand side of the name of
     the country.

       Dutiable articles may be sent by letter and small packet post-up to S100 green
     label written in  French and English required; thereafter top green label and form
     C2/CP3.  Registered  items  containing  bank-notes,  currency  notes  etc.  are
     admitted.
       Prohibitions:  Charged  butane  gas  lighters  and  refills  (uncharged  lighters  are
     admitted);  coin,  gold,  jewellery,  platinum,  precious  stones,  silver  and  other
     precious objects, plants, playing cards.

       Customs declarations: 2 forms C2/CP3 and  1 despatch note CP2.
