STREET LETTER BOXES

TO BE WRITTEN ON THIS SIDE.
In 1863 four cast iron letter boxes were placed about Kingston and later Montego Bay, Port
Antonio and Savannah-La-Mar followed suit. With the exception of Savannah-La-Mar, these
boxes had a special postmark. Apart from these four towns, all letters had to be posted at the
local post office.
