Maypen is one of the larger towns in Jamaica, situated 12 miles from Old Harbour in the parish of
Clarendon.
This 0.II.M.S. entire, concerni ng the next monthly meeting of the Parochial Road
Commissioners at the Alley Court House, is backstamped ' May-Pen November 8th 1877' and was
received in Alley the following day.
This numeral oblitcrator is commonly found being in use at a busy office for 22 years from 1876.
