Dutiable articles may be sent by letter and small packet post—up to $100,
green label written in French or Portuguese and English required; thereafter
top green label and form C2/CP3. Packets must also be conspicuously marked
En Doitane.

Insurance: I imit SSOO.
Prohibitions: Butane gas lighters and refills, tobacco, lottery tickets, sac­
charine and similar substances.
Restrictions: Medicines, narcotics, firearms and weapons, foodstuff gaming
equipment.
Customs duty: Bound or sewn books are liable to customs duty.

Customs d clarations: I form C2/CP3 and 1 despatch note CP2 written in

French or Portuguese and English.
Insurance: Limit S230.
Prohibitions: Butane gas lighters and refills; letters; unobliterated postage
and other stamps, bonds and orders payable to bearer (except in insured parcels);
tobacco, lottery tickets, saccharine and similar substances.
Restrictions: Arms, medicines, plants.
Import Licence: An Import licence is required for all parcels valued at more
han 2,500 escudos.

A Portuguese consular invoice must accompany each consignment of goods
over 550 escudos (S10) in value. The invoice must be sent direct to the addressee.
