                    Thi_s  censorship  handstarnp  consists  o:f  the  no-tation
             "NAVY  l~S.P'ECTOR  NO  • • • "  in  sans  serif  type,  ?3  mm  X  3  IY!m.
             It is assumed  that  the  '-Inspecior"  should have  added  his

             number  or ~nitia~io the handstamp,  but  to  date  no  examples
             of  such  a  marking have  been  recorded.                This  handstamp  appears

             ~o have  been  used  in Jamaica  as  it appears  on  internal  mail
             and  it has  o·nly  been  recorded  struck  in purple ,  together
             with  other  censorship  markings.                 There  are  two  sub-types.

                                                Type  (i) .
                    This  sub-type  is the  one  usually  seen  being .M.-USNC  3
             wiihout  any  f~~ther addition  to  the  handstamp.

                     In  this  sub-type  -the  letters  "R. I.  haYe  been  added  in
             manuscrip~ to  the  handstamp,  and  as  in  the  case  of M-USNC  2
             (iv),  it is believed  that this notati on  indicates  ~hat  the
