This number served three offices - Mandeville from 1859 till 1862, May Hill from 1862 till 1885
when this office closed, and finally Spur Tree from 1885 to 1893.
This letter to Kingston left Spur Tree on September 11th 1893 with the correct postal rate which
was now only ld. for internal mail. This stamp of the ·Key Issue' series was issued in March
1889.
