In 1892, a 'double ring' handstamp was introduced, which quickly superseded the numeral
obliterators in those offices which still used them and gradually also supplanted the 'squared
circle' type in the 35 offices where this latter type had been sent. At this time there were about
100 post offices in Jamaica.
This letter left Four Paths on December 3rc1 1900 and arrived in Bi~ingham on the 20th.
The numeral obiiterator 'A35' had originally been allotted to Clarendon, but in 1876 this office,
together with its number, was moved 7 miles and the name was changed to 'Four Paths'.
