Restrictions: Copies of plans; fruit, old, silver, platinum, jewellery and
precious stones, meat products, patent medicines and drugs, plants, p.irts of
plants and seeds, wireless apparatus.
Import Licence: The importation of most classes of goods is subject to the
production of an import licence.
Gift Parcels: Customs duty is raised on most articles sent as gifts to private
persons, but not on medicaments and orthopaedic aids.
Compensation is not payable for damage to parcels containing liquids, fra
gile articles or perishable goods if the damage occurs in the Italian service.

Dutiable articles may be sent by letter and small packet post—up to SI00
green label (written in French and English) required; thereafter top green label
and form C2/CP3.
Insurance: No Service.
Prohibitions: Coin, gold, jewellery, platinum, precious stones, silver, bearer
bills.
Restrictions: All currency notes except those of the Bank of the Republic
of Zaire.
Parcel Post

Insurance: No Service.
Customs declarations: 2 forms C2/CP3 and 1 despatch note CP2 written in
French and English.
Prohibitions: Letters, arms, bearer bills and so on.
Restrictions: Saccharin and similar products.
Import Licences are required for all parcels except gift parcels not exceeding
50 Zaires in value.
Invoice: An Invoice is required for each commercial parcel.
Address: The name of the province should appear in the address of parcels
for the Republic of Zaire.
Delivery: Parcels are not delivered.
Compensation is not payable.
