                  1. The Postma•ler for Jamaica iR not legally liubl~ for nny lm<s or inconv!'nicnco which
                mayn risc from the loss, dama11oc, dr•lay, non-deliver~, or mis-dcliw ry  of anythinp;scnt by
                post, and he does not, in any circumstance", pay compcn~al ion in  respect of unr<•p.istcrcd
                letters,  post cards,  printed  matter,  packets,  new~pnpcrB or  local  parct•l".  But subject
                to the rules  slated below,  he pa,vs  compensation  voluntarily a nd  as an  net  of war·c  in

                tercd letter envelopes sold by the l'ost  Office and th<' par·l.t•t  is tendered for trunsrmssion

                  7.  In the case of  bank  notes, money and  postal  order<,  c·hcques,  bond<  and  ~imilnr
                document~,  parl,iculars  sufficient for  their identification must be furnished.

                United  :Riugdom,  and notes current in any Foreign .State or British Possc~ion, 1noney
                orders  nod  postal  orders,  unoblitcrnted  postage  nnd  r<:I"<'IIUe  stamps,  exchequer bills,
                bank  po~t bills, bills of exch8llge, promissory notes, cheques, credit notes which  entitle
                the holder t.o money or  goods, nnd all  orders and authuri!ics for the pa~wcnt of money,
                whcthl•r Jwgot.iable or not, bond~, roupons, and sccurilicH for money whet,hcr negotiable
                or not.
                  The term  "  Jewellery" roeans nod includeo~
                  (a) Gold or sih·er in a manufactured ~tatc; that i~ to ~ay,  a state in which value is added
                     to  the  raw material  by skilled workmantili.ip,  and in  this definition  are included
                     any coins used or designed for  purposes of ornament.
                  (b)  Diamonds  and  precious  stones.
                  (c)  Watches, the cases of which are entirely or mainly composed  of gold or silver; nnd
                  (d)  An~·  article  of a  like nature which,  apart from  workmanship,  has  an  i1lltinsic or
                mar/r• table value.
                  Aduicc  oj  Delivery-The ~ender of registered  correspondence  may obtain au  acknow-
                ledgment uf its  receipt by the  addressee on  payment of an  e;-trn fee of 2d. in  addition,
                to other cbar!(es.
