The Navy had a Fleet Air Arm base on the Palisadoes , later the Norman Manley
International Airport , staffed by Fleet Air Arm personnel and a few R. A. F . personnel.

Reverse of a cover from Newcastle to the U. S.A. franked at 1/- which has been
censored by the Service and bearing PC 3 , Number 13 . The Newcastle dater is of the
28th August , 1942 . The reversed is endorsed SENT BY/J . P . BEYNON AB . SD . /BOX 213282/
