RN 12 . SENIOR NAVAL OFFICER/WEST INDIES .
It appears that the America and West Indies Station again changed it' s name,
Probably during World War II , as ther e is shown a handstamp used by the Senior
Naval Officer , West Indies . It is assumed that this was the current name of the
former Station in 1963 . The hands tamp is in a TRD format with SENIOR NAVAL
OFFICER around the top and WEST INDIES around the bottom, separated on each side
By asterisks . The marking is struck in red ink .
EKD : 20 August 1963 LKD :
O. H. M. S . cover from Bermuda to the War Office , London , the Elizabeth II stamp
cancelled by POST OFFICE/MARITIME MAIL in black ink and handstamp in red ink
dated the 20th August, 1963 .
