‘T’ Marks
‘T’ in Rectangle
Sterling was devalued in 1949 making all the existing duplex marks redundant - ½d = 4 centimes (was 5) and 1d = 7 centimes (was 10)..
The centime values also changed from the amount to be charged to the deficiency.
Two similar styles of ‘T’ in rectangle exist, a dotted line used in the 1950s and a solid line in the 1960s.
