Spanish Town with ½ ‘paid’ Handstamp

Prior to the issue of obliterators to the post towns,
the adhesives were supposed to be left to be cancelled with an obliterator at Kingston.
At Spanish Town, by exception, the adhesive was cancelled with a handstamp that had been sent out in 1843.
Only 8 items have been recorded with this mark (used between Aug 1858 and 1862).
