The letter appears to have been despatched on the Dee packet on 26 February 1859 to St Thomas.
However, for some unknown reason, it was returned to Kingston and received the Ship Letter mark.
It was resent on the Dee on 12 March.
The other 5 recorded packet letters sent on 26 February were not delayed.
