Jamaica: The De La Rue Officials

                                                            One penny.
For the Official 1d, De La Rue made special printings of the key and duty plate 1d in red.

The first printing of 8,040 sheets was invoiced on 29 March 1890. In total there were 4 printings of the
            1d between 1890 and 1897, 12,862 sheets, 1,543,440 stamps. Key plates 1, 3 and 4 and duty plates
1, 2 and 3 are all known to have been used. There is the same considerable variation in wear on the
duty plate, which helps to assign stamps to printings.

First printing, 29 March 1890. Second printing, 18 November 1895.

The fourth printing, using key plate 4 and duty plate 3, invoiced on 5 August 1897, may have been little used,
as Official stamps were withdrawn on 31 December 1897.
