Jamaica: The 1929 – 32 Issue.

            The Crown Agents accepted De La Rue’s tender for new definitives on 25 September 1928.
            De La Rue recess printed all three values in sheets of 120, two panes of 60, comb perforated 14.

            1d value, issued 15 March 1929.
             The 1d die proof was approved
                  on 2 November 1928.
             21 die 1 printings were invoiced
             between 18 January 1929 and
             5 September 1931, 27,569,831
                         stamps.

                              initialled.
                                                                                               Specimen type D19.
                                  Ex Hemmings.                                                    431 produced.







           One 120 set plate was
              made from die 1.
             There are no plate
            numbers but there is
              an engine turned
             pattern in the lower
                sheet margin.


















               Die 2, issued in 1932,       Die 1.
               had several minor
               design differences, but
               the most obvious is the
               shading below
               JAMAICA.

               Die 1 printings were
               more scarlet;                Die 2.
               die 2, more carmine.
