Jamaica: The 1935 Silver Jubilee.
Recess printed, Bradbury, Wilkinson, in sheets of 60, comb perforated 11 x 12. Issued 6 May 1935.
Printing numbers were: 1d, 5,622,466; 1½d, 565,584; 6d, 204,637; and 1s, 132,572.
Specimen type B9, 421 produced.
Bradbury, Wilkinson used one frame plate for each value. For the vignettes they used plates 2, 4, 5,
6, 7 and 8 for the 1d and 1, 2, 3 and 4 for the other three values. These are the numbers used by
philatelists (plate Bv1 and so on), not the printer’s numbers, as the plates were unnumbered.
The many varieties on the vignette plates can often be found on more than one value.
Examples of varieties found only on the 1d.
