Jamaica: War Stamps 1916 - 1920.
From 1 April 1916 the War Tax increased postage rates:
by ½d on letters and postcards within the island or to the United Kingdom and the Empire; and
by 3d on incoming dutiable parcels or parcels addressed to the United Kingdom and the Empire.
The new rates could be paid by any postage stamps, not only War Stamps, and War Stamps
could be used for postage on any post.
First day of the War Tax, 1 April 1916.

30 April 16.
Fifteen first issue ½ds on registered cover to the Netherlands, 1916. No War Tax payable.
UPU triple postage 5½d (2½d + 2x1½d) + 2d registration = 7½d rate.
