A number of items of mail make it clear that the correspondents who apparently re-used stamps with the 9-
hole diamond punch were stamp collectors, including the air letter shown below.

Mailed in Kingston on 1 ih December 1953 and franked to a value of ninepence with stamps from King George
VI's reign, none bearing perfins.
