Terminal Censorship: White Paper Labels
After little more than a week of use, the temporary green-blue labels for resealing envelopes were
replaced by a more suitable type (JL10) printed in vermilion ink on white paper:

The cover was sealed with a JL10 type resealing label - this is a very early example of such a label,
the earliest recorded date being 12th September 1939.
lt was intended that these resealing labels would be used in conjunction with a handstamp bearing
the identifying number of each individual Examiner, but these were not yet available.
