LOCATION OF DEPARTMENTS.
Tbe General Post Office in Kin~stou is situl\ted in the Public Buildiugs, west block,
King Street.
TatJ Circulation Branch, :vi oney Order O:lice, and Tele ~rapb OfficC3 are maintained
at the north-west portiou of the Public Buildings, Kin,~ Street. The Control Bratlch
and the Tele~raph Office are on the first floor of the building. The Parcel Post Depart-
ment, including the C.O.D. and Detained Packet Offices.z. is housed in the rHliV
Government Buildings (formerly "Grace Building," No. 33 vlivier Place).
The official hours of the various departmeuts arc as follows:-
K!NOSTON: General Post O.licc, Circulatiou branch, 8 a.m. to :l p.m.; ~1oney and
Postal Order branches, 0 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Parcel Post branch, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Telegraph

REGULATIONS.
(a) Letlers.-No letter for delivery in Jamaica, except it be sent to or from a Govern·
ment Office, may exceed 2 feet in length I foot in width or I foot in depth, or if in the form
of a roll 30 inches in length and 4 inches in diameter. There is no limit of weight.
Lel/J~rs sent in open envelcpes are not admiued at rale for "Printed Papers."
Letters, newspapers, book packets, eto., which are wholly unpaid will be liable to a
surcharge equal to double the prepaid rate; and, if they are insufficiently prepaid, to a
surcharge equal to double the deficiency.
(b) Post Cards.-Private post cards prr.paid by means of halfpenny postage stamp•
may be sent by the inland post on the following conditions:-They must not exceed
5t by 41 inches nor be less than 4 hy 2i inches. The right hand half of the face is reserved
for the postal directions and address; the left hand half is available for thll purposes of the
sender, subject to the following restrictions:-In addition to stamps fo~ prepayment post
cards may bear small labels showing the names and address of the sender and the addressee;
and eu.gravings and photographs on very thin paper may be affi.~ed to the back and left
hand half of the address side, provided that they are compulely adherent. Newspaper
outtings may also be attached to the back and left hand hali of tbe address side. A
post card must not be enclosed in a cover of any kind.
