Travelling Post Office Cancellations
Highway TPOs

A series of Travelling Post Offices was established in the early 1960s.
Each van was equipped with a letter box and when halted in a village where the mail had already closed,
letters could be posted and a certain amount of sorting on each journey.
Five Travelling Post Offices were organised, post marks associated with two are shown below.
Five Types with 18 variations of the ornaments between words are known.
