TPO Type 5
A double-ring handstamp measuring 30m, with a space of 1½mm between rings.
This series of handstamp was introduced in 1937, due to the expansion of the TPO service.
Three handstamps were ordered, numbered 1, 2 & 3
TPO 5/1 TPO 5/2 TPO 5/3
Used on the Kingston to Montego Bay line. Used initially between Kingston & Mo Bay but Used between Montego Bay to Kingston.
subsequently used between Port Antonio & Kingston.

The Birmingham style postmark was probably introduced during 1947, and its use continued to at least 1964.
