Indies. In the 19 and early 20 centuries senders often used manuscript ship inscriptions.
This cover was carried on the direct fortnightly transatlantic service from Kingston via Bridgetown to
Southampton.

The Para, 3,805 tons, 370 passengers, was built in 1873 and was in service from
1876 to 1901, when it blew up in a disastrous experiment with a frozen fruit hold.
