Jamaica: The World War I Red Cross Charity Stamps.

            These labels were issued by the Jamaica War Stamp League in November 1915. They were sold at
            ½d each at post offices, but were not valid for postage. The proceeds supported the British Red
            Cross Society, the Jamaica Aeroplane Fund and the relief of Polish Jews.


            The labels were printed by the Dennison Manufacturing Company of Framingham, Massachusetts.
            They were lithographed in red ink in sheets of 100, 10 x 10. They were line perforated 12, except for
            the outer sheet margins that were straight.
