Jamaica: The Vendryes Provisional
Early uses of the second setting, March 1891.
The earliest known date of use of the second setting of the provisional is 20 February 1891.
On 25 February, a post office notice announced the issue of the Queen Victoria key plate 2½d
which superseded it, whose earliest known date of use is 28 February. However, many post offices
may have held back the new key plate stamp until they had used up their provisionals.
