The next label discussed was probably not used by the Service but has been recorded
on Jamaican mail , on letters both to and from the island. Like other show items it was
most like ly of United Kingdom usage and bears the "Imperial Crown"; an example of this
label i s shown below . This label comprises continuous sets of wording etc, to that a
label long enough t o reseal a cover usually bears more than one impression of PLC 6 which
is repea ted at intervals of 37 to 39mm a long the label.

"The Imperial Crown"/OPENED BY, 3 x 27mm/EXAMINER, 3 x 24mm/and a number 3mm high, /
below appears at the bottom left of the label the notation "P. C. 90 . " , 2 x 8mm. The
label i s printed in b lack block sans serif type. The numbers for this label rtecorded
