Jamaica: The Nyasaland Key Plate
               Stamps, 1911 - 1921.

In June 1910 the Kingston Philatelogical Society
and the Jamaica Philatelic Association petitioned
the Governor of Jamaica for a stamp to be issued
bearing the profile of King Edward as a lasting
memorial to their "late beloved King". The Governor
recommended the petition and forwarded it to
London, which resulted in an issue in February
  1911, 8 months after the King's death.

To meet the new order De La Rue produced a 2d
stamp in the key plate design also used for issues in
Nyasaland, St. Lucia, Straits Settlements and British
Honduras. The stamp used a key plate of the head
of Edward VII and a 2d Jamaica duty plate.

Typographed by De La Rue in two panes of 60 side
by side to form each sheet of 120. For this stamp
and the first George V printing, both plates had
Jubilee lines forming a double border with gaps to
  release pressure.

  Watermarked Multiple Crown CA,
  comb perforated 14.

A single printing of 1012 sheets, 121,440 stamps.

Issued 3 February 1911 and used up that year.
